How it works

From PDF to finished stack

1

Upload your PDF

We render every page individually and check it for color. You then see how many pages are in color, and which ones get printed on A4 and which on A3.

2

Choose paper and finishing

Quantity, single- or double-sided, paper weight, plus hole punching, stapling or folding. Every change updates the price right next to it, broken down by item.

3

Order and have it delivered

Several files with different settings go into one order. We print, finish and ship the parcel anywhere in Germany.

Paper

Which weight suits your document?

The weight determines how the sheet feels, how much shows through, and what we can still do with it afterwards. If you are unsure, drop us a line via the contact form: we have been printing since 2007 and will tell you what fits your document.

80 and 100 gsm

Classic copy paper. 100 gsm feels more substantial and shows less through on double-sided printing.

  • Reports, handouts, forms, circulars
  • No per-sheet surcharge, the price sits in the volume tiers
  • The only weights we can staple

120 and 160 gsm

Firmer than copy paper. It does not buckle when you leaf through it and sits noticeably steadier in the hand.

  • Cover sheets, price lists, menus, notices
  • Surcharge of 0.10 EUR or 0.15 EUR per A4 sheet
  • Hole punching possible, stapling no longer

200 to 300 gsm

Card stock. It stands up on its own and still looks tidy after being passed around a few times.

  • Invitations, certificates, diplomas, table displays
  • Surcharge of 0.20 to 0.30 EUR per A4 sheet
  • Hole punching possible, stapling no longer

Why A3 counts double

One A3 sheet is exactly two A4 sheets of paper. That is why an A3 page counts as two prints, and the paper surcharge applies twice per A3 sheet. This has three consequences worth knowing:

Volume tiers fill up faster: 150 A3 pages count as 300 prints
Mixed files are calculated page by page, not as A3 across the board
A3 sheets can be folded down to A4 so they fit into a ring binder

Mixed documents

A4 and A3 in one file

Few documents are all one size: the report runs on A4, the table in the middle needs A3. You do not have to split the file for that. We measure every page individually and put it on the paper it belongs on.

  • Every page gets its own format. The overview shows separately how many A4 and A3 pages come out in color and in black and white.
  • US Letter and Legal are printed on A4. Those formats are slightly larger than A4, so a narrow strip is lost at the edge. The configurator tells you beforehand which pages are affected.
  • Landscape pages are rotated to portrait automatically so they fit onto the sheet in full.
  • If content sits right on the edge of the page, one click prints the file slightly scaled down. Then nothing gets cut off.
  • Anything larger than A3 is out of scope here. We print those pages as plans or posters on the large-format printer.

Finishing

What happens after printing

A4/A3 printing does not include binding. We punch, staple and fold. If you need a real binding, script printing or thesis printing is the right place.

Hole punching

Free of charge

Either 2 holes for the classic ring binder or 4 holes if the sheets should sit tighter and tear out less easily. Available with every paper weight.

Stapling

Free up to 65 sheets

Top left or twice along the left edge. Machine stapled up to 65 sheets per copy, above that we staple by hand for 1.20 EUR per copy. From 120 gsm the stapler no longer goes through cleanly, so the option drops out.

Folding A3

0.30 EUR per A3 sheet

We fold A3 sheets down to A4 so they fit into a binder along with the rest. Entirely optional: if you need the large pages flat, just leave it off.

FAQ

Questions about A4 and A3 printing

PDF, up to 250 MB per file. Convert other formats beforehand: photos and scans with our free image to PDF tool, Word or PowerPoint files by exporting them as PDF straight from the program. Make sure fonts are embedded, otherwise the layout can shift when printed.
Nothing you would have to prepare. We measure every page and print it in the matching format. An A3 page costs twice as much as an A4 page because it uses twice the paper and toner. The page overview shows the split by format and color before you order.
The volume tiers count prints, not copies. On 80 gsm a black and white print costs 0.12 EUR, from 50 prints 0.08 EUR and from 300 prints 0.05 EUR. Color starts at 0.48 EUR, from 50 prints 0.33 EUR, from 300 prints 0.27 EUR. 20 copies of 10 pages each already make 200 prints, so the second tier is reached quickly. Above 10,000 copies we quote individually, just get in touch.
80 gsm for ordinary documents, 100 gsm for a more substantial feel. Neither carries a per-sheet surcharge. From 120 gsm the sheet gets firm enough for cover pages and notices, from 200 gsm it is card stock for invitations or certificates. Easy to overlook: stapling only works up to 100 gsm, hole punching works with every weight.
Yes, both are included in the price. Punching is 2 or 4 holes, stapling is top left or twice along the left edge. Up to 65 sheets per copy this runs by machine, above that we staple by hand for 1.20 EUR per copy. Proper bindings such as spiral or perfect binding are not part of this route, you will find those under script printing.
We ship anywhere in Germany with DHL. You see the shipping cost in the cart; it applies once per order, no matter how many files are in it. Collection in person is not part of the ordering flow. If you happen to be near Stadtallendorf, just ask beforehand through the contact form.
